Engagement

Jeff rang Mary and said, “Let’s go out tonight. Be sure to wear something sexy!” Jeff arrived in his yellow chariot (NY taxi cab) and whisked Mary off…
Formal Gardens in Central Park
First he took her to Central Park on the East Side and a walk in the Formal Gardens. Mary and Jeff witnessed a bride and groom completing their ceremony for the evening.
Drinks at the Plaza
Then in another yellow chariot, off to the Plaza where our young couple enjoyed drinks in the Oak Room, while waiting for the sun to begin setting.
Carriage Ride
Outside a red horse carriage awaited to bring Mary and Jeff through the park. To the clip clop of the horse and Irish brogue of the driver our young couple nestled in a warm blanket. The sun began to set and all the twinkling lights of the city revealed themselves. Jeff tenderly kissed Mary and read love poetry from the Song of Songs as a tear fell from her eye.
Dinner at March
Off to dinner at March on 58th St. between 1st and Sutton. There Mary and Jeff enjoyed a 5 course French meal on the mezzanine balcony. They sipped fine champagne and enjoyed black truffles. Dessert was chocolate of course. But then, Jeff got down on one knee. “Mary,” he said, “you are the love of my life.” Jeff gingerly pulled a blue felt box from his jacket. “Mary Sue Shulze, “he said with great confidence, “will you marry me?”
“Yes!” Mary replied and then exclaimed to the next table, "I just got engaged!" And red roses suddenly appeared from the host.
